Player career
Harrington began his ice hockey career in 2000 in the United States Hockey League with the Omaha Lancers . After a good season, the 1.80 m tall defender was able to improve in his second year and got a scholarship in the summer of 2002 at the University of Minnesota , for which he henceforth in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association , a league in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association , played.
The then 20-year-old was also able to convince there and switched to the American Hockey League for the Toronto Marlies , the farm team of the Toronto Maple Leafs, in the 2006/07 season . After he had little hope of a place in the Maple Leafs squad, Harrington forced a move to Europe. After all, it was the DEG Metro Stars who convinced him to get involved in Düsseldorf . Chris Harrington thus went on the ice for DEG in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons . The American then agreed on a contractual relationship with the Ōji Eagles from the Asia League Ice Hockey . The American ended his active career after three seasons in Japan.
