Hans Krause (politician, 1897)

Hans Krause (* 11. May 1897 in Abschruten, district Pogegen , tauragė county , † after 1932) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

Krause attended the village school in Kuiken in the Goldap district in East Prussia and the secondary school in Königsberg . He then trained as a farmer. From August 2, 1914, Krause took part in the First World War. First he fought with the Jäger Regiment on Horseback No. 10 , then with the Jäger Regiment on Horseback No. 9 and finally with the 1st Guards Uhlan Regiment . He was slightly wounded once during the war and was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class, the Finnish Freedom Medal 1st and 2nd Class and the Baltic Cross. From 1919 to 1925 Krause worked as a practical farmer. He then went into business for himself as a farmer and ran a farm in Raudwarischken in the Gumbinnen district . He was a Protestant denomination.

At the end of 1928 Krause joined the NSDAP (membership number 102972). In the general election of September 1930 Krause as a candidate of the Nazi Party for the constituency 1 (East Prussia) was in the Reichstag voted, of which he was subsequently to July 1,932th In 1933 he was briefly a member of the provincial parliament of the province of East Prussia .

Krause was one of four NSDAP members who went to the Reichstag restaurant in May 1932 to beat up Helmuth Klotz . Klotz had left the NSDAP and joined the SPD and was in the Reichstag as a journalist to meet the SPD deputy Otto Wels . The attack by Krause and others led to the four perpetrators being expelled from parliament on May 12, 1932, but they did not obey. The police operation also failed due to the resistance of the militant NSDAP faction. Klotz was executed by the Nazis in 1943.

In 1938 he received the NSDAP's Golden Decoration .
