Hans Ludwig Rosegger (born August 19, 1880 in Krieglach / Styria , † February 17, 1929 in Graz ) was an Austrian writer.

Life

Hans Ludwig Rosegger was a son of the writer Peter Rosegger . Hans Ludwig Rosegger attended elementary school and grammar school in Graz; He then studied law at the universities in Leipzig and Graz . In 1905 he received his doctorate with a dissertation on constitutional law as a doctor of law. In the following years he continued his social and political studies in Vienna, Zurich and Heidelberg. After settling in his hometown of Krieglach , he undertook extensive trips through Austria and Germany as well as France, Italy and Egypt. From 1910 he was editor of the monthly magazine "Heimgarten" founded by his father, which he continued under the title "Roseggers Heimgarten". Hans Ludwig Rosegger's own literary work consisted primarily of novels and stories in which he took extremely German national , anti-democratic and sometimes racist positions.
