Hans Molly

Hans Molly (* 1902 in Trieste ; † November 9, 1994 ) was a German engineer and inventor in the field of hydraulics .

Life

Molly studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden under Professor Karl Kutzbach until 1928 . He then worked until 1935 at the Friedrichshafen gear factory as a designer and development engineer , then at Askania in Berlin. After the Second World War he opened his own development office.

As part of a teaching assignment, he lectured on hydrostatic machines at the University of Karlsruhe between 1963 and 1990, and during this time applied for several patents.

Molly was married and last lived in Malsch near Karlsruhe .

Awards

For his pioneering work in the field of fluid technology , Molly received an honorary doctorate from the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen in 1983 .
