Hans Schenk (born January 1, 1936 in Muldszen , East Prussia , † January 19, 2006 in Leverkusen ) was a German javelin thrower .
After Schenk fled East Prussia in 1945, he settled in Leverkusen with his mother and five siblings. There he joined TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen .
At the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1958 he was seventh and twelfth at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
He set his personal best of 78.12 m on August 30, 1964 at the domestic German Olympic qualification in Jena .
Schenk completed an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk, but later worked as a lecturer at the German Sport University Cologne . As a trainer, he looked after Klaus Wolfermann and Klaus Tafelmeier, among others, and was also a fitness and conditioning trainer for the soccer team of 1. FC Köln for several years .
