Hans Therre

Hans Therre (* 1948 in Gronig , Saarland ) is a German literary translator and freelance author .

Live and act

After studying German at the Philipps University of Marburg, Hans Therre specialized in working with certain authors of world literature. He gained new experiences through stays in Paris and Portugal . He has translated works from Portuguese, French and English.

The translations of poems by Eugénio de Andrades and Fernando Pessoas from Portuguese are just as much a part of his work as the stories by the French Pierre Gripari , some of which he translated together with Cornelia Langendorf. He translated works by Iain Levison from American English .

Hans Therre has also published articles in anthologies and magazines.

Therre lives in Saarland.
