Hans Ulrich Abshagen

Hans Ulrich Abshagen (born October 18, 1926 in Berlin ; † November 21, 2017 in Berlin) was a German manager and author .

His father was Wolfgang Abshagen , a resistance fighter against National Socialism , whom he portrayed in his 2003 autobiography Generation Ahnungslos . Abshagen graduated from the Willi Graf Oberschule in Berlin in 1944. In the summer of 1944 he registered as a war volunteer and at the end of the war, like his father, was taken prisoner by the Soviets.

After discharge, he studied in Berlin from 1946 to 1952 languages and philosophy and a doctorate in 1953 at the Faculty of Humboldt University of Berlin on American literature , his Golden doctoral certificate was awarded by the 2012th

For more than 40 years he was managing director and chairman of the supervisory board of various companies, including head of the Rigips company and from 1995 to 2013 managing director of the Elbe-Werk Roßlau. He also worked as a consultant in the German Agency for Supervisory Boards in workshops for supervisory boards.

Hans Ulrich Abshagen died at the age of 91 in his hometown and was buried in the Zehlendorf cemetery (grave location 011-729).
