Hans Wiegner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans Wiegner (* 1919 ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Wiegner worked as an actor on various Berlin theaters after the war. In 1946 he played next to OE Hasse at the Hebbel-Theater in a production of We Have Got Away Again and in 1947 next to Bettina Moissi at the Volksbühne in a production by Eurydike . His other stage stations included the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm , the grandstand and the Schiller Theater .

He was also occasionally seen in television plays such as Elisabeth von England with Elisabeth Flickenschildt in the title role and alongside Karin Hübner in Die Fee , directed by Peter Beauvais .

However, the focus of his activity was the work as a speaker. Wiegner worked in numerous radio play productions and in the cabaret RIAS radio broadcast Die Rückblende . When the flashback was also broadcast in the ARD program under the direction of Hans Rosenthal , Wiegner was part of the team.

Wiegner's voice is known to a wide audience, especially from his hundreds of synchronized roles. Here he mainly lent the voice to angular types, gangsters and rough legs like the cattle baron Chisum ( Forrest Tucker ) in John Wayne 's film of the same name. He dubbed Ben Johnson ( The Undefeated ), Lee Marvin ( The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance ), George Kennedy ( Charade ), Robert Mitchum ( The Dead List ) and Keenan Wynn ( Play Me A Song Of Death ), but also in one of the rare comic roles of Bud Abbott in Abbott and Costello as a gangster fright .
