Hans Wolf Sommer
Hans Wolf Sommer (* 1939 in Cologne ; † 1996 ) was a German author of science fiction and horror , primarily of magazine novels . He also worked as a translator.
Life
Working as a real estate agent in Cologne for years , Sommer turned his hobby, the fantasy , into his main job after a company bankruptcy . In 1967 he published the fanzine "Robot" together with Frank Rainer Scheck and Heinz J. Galle . At the time he was working for the Science Fiction Times . His first novel for the Utopia series was rejected by the editor on the grounds that the novel was too high . He tried again several years later. The novel Insurance with Difficulties was bought by Zauberkreis and published in 1970 as part of the Science Fiction series. He used HW Springer as a pseudonym, which he later used again for his 1999 moon station publications.
From the beginning of the 1970s he wrote fantastic booklet literature under various pseudonyms for series such as Gespenster-Krimi , Silber Schusel-Krimi and Damona King , but also worked for crime series such as Jerry Cotton . Sommer, who died of stomach cancer, lived temporarily in Niederehe and most recently in Nörvenich .
Hans Wolf Sommer used a variety of pseudonyms. These included the personal pseudonyms HW Springer , Gunther Herbst , Vernon Graves and the collective pseudonyms Frederic Collins , Frank deLorca , Brian Elliot , Robert Craven , Robert Lamont and Marcos Mongo .
