Hans Wysling
Hans Wysling (born June 20, 1926 in Zurich ; † December 13, 1995 there ) was a Swiss German literary scholar and Thomas Mann researcher.
Life
Wysling studied German and English in Zurich , completed his habilitation in 1968 with studies under Thomas Mann, and from 1970 was Professor of Modern German Literature at the University of Zurich .
From 1962 to 1993 he was also head of the Thomas Mann Archive at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich .

- 1993 Thomas Mann Prize from the Hanseatic City of Lübeck
- 1993 election to the corresponding member of the British Academy
