Harald Bianco

Harald Bianco (* 1954 in Ikkatteq ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Inuit Ataqatigiit ).

Life

Harald Bianco was born in Ikkatteq and left the now abandoned village in 1968 at the age of 14. He is the father of the politician Iddimanngiiu Bianco (* 1987).

Harald Bianco was elected to the council of the new Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq in 2008. The next year he ran for parliamentary elections and was elected to Inatsisartut . In 2010 he resigned from the local council in order to devote himself entirely to state politics. In the parliamentary elections in March 2013 he reached the first place of the Inuit Ataqatigiit. In June he replaced Maliina Abelsen on leave . In the election next year he did not run again. Instead, he was re-elected to the local council in the 2017 local elections. In 2019 he became the second deputy mayor of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq.
