Harald Specht

Harald Specht (born December 20, 1951 in Köthen (Anhalt) ) is a German chemist , food engineer and author .

Live and act

From 1970 he studied at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg chemistry, gained a diploma in 1974, graduated from 1974 to 1977 a scientific postgraduate and doctorate in 1978 at Friedrich Wolf for Doctor of Science . 1977 laureate of the international conference of young chemists, from that year he carried out a teaching and research activity at the Technical University of Koethen and from 1979 to 1980 also completed a postgraduate course in university education at the University of Halle . In 1986 he completed his habilitation at the Humboldt University in Berlin with a thesis on cold treatment and quality assurance of meat as a Dr.-Ing. habil. and obtained the facultas docendi . In 1987 he was appointed professor for food technology at the Technical University of Koethen , and in 1993 at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg .

As a chemist and food technologist, Harald Specht published his research results in numerous papers, patent specifications, at international specialist congresses and on the occasion of research stays and lecture tours abroad (including at the universities of Voronezh , Kraków , Bratislava , Łódź and Poznań ). He was a member of editorial boards and expert committees, and from 1988 he published more than 160 short articles in his own column in the specialist journal Fleisch des Fachbuchverlages GmbH Leipzig. In 1990 he published the first German-language monograph on questions of cold reduction and electrical stimulation of meat.

Since 1992, Harald Specht has also published non-fiction books and two novels, which deal primarily with cultural-historical , philosophical and religious-scientific topics.
