The Hardberg is 374.7  m above sea level. NHN high mountain on the western edge of the northern Black Forest on the district of the city of Baden-Baden . It is well developed via hiking trails. The Hardberg is completely forested . The forest was severely damaged by Hurricane Lothar in December 1999.

Surroundings

On the north-western slope of the Hardberg, facing the Upper Rhine Plain, is the district of Balg with the city ​​clinic . A little above the clinic is an old quarry , now a protected natural monument . The 25 m high and 100 m wide wall made of red sandstone slopes down to the west towards the Rhine plain. There is a hard court on the bottom of the quarry . On the south-western slope of the Hardberg, the Untere Aussichtsweg runs to the Weststadt, the Hardbergbad and the youth hostel. The Obere Aussichtsweg leads above the Hardbergbad to the New Castle . On the east side, between Hardberg and Battert, is Kellersbild , a popular destination for hikers.
