Hari Mata Hari is a four-piece musical group from Bosnia and Herzegovina . It was founded in Sarajevo in autumn 1985 . With over five million albums sold, it is one of the most successful bands in the Balkans . The head of the group is the singer Hajrudin Varešanović .
With their song Lejla, which was produced by the Serbian superstar Željko Joksimović , they took third place for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens . In 1999 he was selected to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Starac i more , but was disqualified.
One of the founding members of the band was Edo Mulahalilović (1964-2010).
