Haridimos Tsoukas

Haridimos ("Hari") Tsoukas (* 1961 in Karpenisi ) is Professor of Organization Studies at the University of Warwick Business School in Great Britain, where he deals with Organizational Behavior and Change Management.

Career

He obtained his Bachelor of Science (1983) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki . He left Greece and studied for a master's degree in engineering at Cranfield University in 1985 . He received his PhD in Organizational Sociology from the University of Manchester in 1989.

From 1988 to 1990 Tsoukas taught at the University of Manchester Business School , 1990 to 95 in Warwick, 95 to 98 at the University of Cyprus, 98 to 2000 at the University of Essex and 2000 to 2003 at the University of Strathclyde .

In addition to his research and teaching activities, Tsoukas also works in various specialist publications, including from 2003 to 2008 as David C. Wilson's successor and David Courpasson's predecessor as editor-in-chief of Organization Studies , the renowned publication of the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS). Tsoukas also writes a column in a Greek daily newspaper.

research

In his research, Tsoukas focuses on change management and social reforms also in connection with the design of social systems. In particular , he analyzed and criticized the changes in the social systems caused by the information society , taking a post-rational standpoint. He deals with the routines of organizations, the change of routines and the bringing about of changes, i.e. learning in the sense of the learning organization and the associated knowledge-based view of organizations.
