Haris Handžić (born June 20, 1990 in Sarajevo ) is a Bosnian football player .

Career

The striker began his career with his hometown club FK Sarajevo , where he scored six goals in 23 games in his first season as a professional. After good performances in the first half of the 2008/09 season, European clubs noticed him and so the Polish UEFA Cup representative Lech Poznań signed the Bosnian in December 2008 for an estimated transfer fee of € 170,000. For the 2010/11 season Handžic was loaned back to his home club FK Sarajevo.

His contract with Lech is valid until June 30, 2013.

Career in the national team

Handžić went through all of Bosnia's junior national teams and was the first Bosnian who managed to play in three different age groups in one year. He played his first international match as part of a friendly against Azerbaijan at the age of 17.
