The Harplage is one to 290.1 m above sea level. NHN high mountain range of the Lower Saxony mountains . It is located near Bockenem in the Hildesheim district in Lower Saxony .

The approximately 7 km long ridge of the wooded Harplage belongs to the north-eastern part of the Lower Saxony mountains. It is located west-northwest of the Harz Mountains in the southwest of the Innerstebergland in the triangle of Bad Salzdetfurth , Bockenem and Lamspringe and delimits the northern part of the Ambergau to the west. The ridge is east of the Lamme and west of the Nette ; both are fed by several streams that spring in the Harplage . To the northeast of the Nettetal is the Hainberg 10 km away and the Harz foothills to the southeast. Two villages are on the edge of the otherwise unpopulated Harplage: Bockenem in the northeast and Lamspringe in the southwest.

Dillsgraben and Dillsburg
In the northeastern roof of the Harplage, northwest of the Königsdahlum, which belongs to Bockenem, is the largest sinkhole in Lower Saxony, the water-filled Dillsgraben . Villa Dillsburg is located a few meters east-northeast of it .
Traffic and walking
A few kilometers east of the Harplage pass the federal motorway 7 and the federal highway 243 in a north-south direction . There are no roads through the high elevations of the ridge. It is criss-crossed by several hiking and forest trails .
