Harras, the police dog is a television series of the German television , which was created in 1966/67 with the support of the German People's Police in the Halle area . The focus of the action are police dog handlers Kramer and his service dog Harras. Of eight episodes produced, only three were broadcast; an episode is considered lost. The first broadcast took place on September 3, 1967.

The focus of the plot is the police dog handler Hauptwachtmeister Kramer and his service dog Harras, a German shepherd . In collaboration with the criminal police , the VP readiness , the water police and the section authorized officer, Kramer and Harras search for missing children or investigate crimes from burglary to murder .

The series never aired again after its premiere. In 2016 Studio Hamburg Enterprises published a DVD edition with the seven traditional episodes.
