The "Village of Harriman" is for the most part in the southeast corner of the Town of Monroe , a small part of the place is within the Town of Woodbury . Harriman's geographic coordinates are 41 ° 18 ′ N , 74 ° 9 ′ W (41.308442, −74.147317). The Harriman State Park is located east.

At the time of the United States Census 2000, Harriman was inhabited by 2,252 people. The population density was 887.2 people per km ². There were 958 housing units at an average of 377.4 per km ².
