Harrison Verrett

Harrison Verrett (also Harrison Verret , born February 27, 1907 in Napoleonville , Louisiana , † October 13, 1965 ) was an American jazz musician ( guitar , banjo ).

Live and act

Harrison Verrett played a. a. with Papa Celestin and Kid Ory ; he was the brother-in-law and musical mentor of Fats Domino , whom he taught the basics of piano playing. Verrett worked in the field of jazz between 1947 and 1962 in 12 recording sessions, including a. with Dave Bartholomew ( Stack-a-Lee , 1950), Kid Sheik Colas Storyville Ramblers (1961) and Leon T. Gross .
