Harrl
The Harrl is a maximum of 213 m above sea level. NN high, wooded western foothills of the Bückeberg and thus part of the Weserbergland . It is located in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony .
Geographical location and geology
The Harrl stretches in the Weserbergland Schaumburg-Hameln Nature Park from Bückeburg in the northwest to southwest past Ahnsen to Bad Eilsen in the southeast. To the east of Bad Eilsen or to the right of the Bückeburger Aue is the actual Bückeberg . The longitudinal axis of the Harrl is a little more than 3 km long and its area is around 3.5 km². Its highest elevation is the approximately centrally located Harrlberg . The federal highway 83 leads to the southwest .
The Harrl, like the Bückeberg, is made of sandstone ( Obernkirchener Sandstein ) and claystones (Upper and Lower Wealden slate) from the Lower Cretaceous .

The Idaturm observation tower is on the Harrlberg . There are many walking and hiking trails in the Harrl , including the Bückeberge-Weg leads over the Harrl. This 51-kilometer main hiking trail in the northern Weser Uplands is marked X11 .
