Harro Meyer

Harro Meyer (born April 1, 1905 in Halle ; † August 7, 1965 in Tettnang ) was a German physician and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Meyer attended grammar school and then studied philosophy , musicology and medicine . He passed his license to practice medicine and was promoted to Dr. med. is doing his doctorate and has had his own practice in Berlin since 1938 . From 1940 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier and was used as a military doctor. After the end of the war he worked as a general practitioner with his own practice in Kressbronn on Lake Constance .

Meyer joined the SPD after 1945 and was a member of the federal executive committee of the Association of Social Democratic Doctors . Until his death he was a councilor in Kressbronn. In the state elections in 1960 and 1964 he was elected as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , to which he belonged until his death, through a second mandate from the constituency of Wangen . For him moved Günter Hoch by the parliament.

Harro Meyer was married and had four children.
