Harry Flosser

Harry Flosser (actually Andre Baschmakov, Russian Андре Башмаков ; born February 1, 1967 in Ulyanovsk ) is a German animator, designer and illustrator of Russian descent. He mainly works in flash animation and stop motion technology .

Life

Born in Ulyanovsk (Simbirsk) in 1967, he began to pursue his artistic path at an early age: at the age of 6, he was accepted into the studio of the famous painter Lev Netsvetajev (Russian Лев Нецветаев), attended a children's art school and took part in various exhibitions . In 1986 he received a diploma as a drawing teacher. 1986–1988 he did military service in the Soviet Army, where he a. a. Graphic artist and illustrator the art of agitation. In 1992 he completed further training as an animator at the state television in Moscow with Fyodor Chitruk . In 1998 he graduated as a desktop publisher from the Wildner Akademie, Munich, where he was taken on as a lecturer for Flash animation and multimedia design after completing his diploma thesis.

He worked as a technical draftsman at the municipal architecture office in Uljanovsk and as a freelance animator on various animation projects from Moscow to Bielsko-Biała . Since 1994 he has lived in Germany as a freelance animator, illustrator and web designer. 1994–95 in Bad Sulza and Apolda, district of Weimarer Land (Free State of Thuringia), he was naturalized and worked there as a freelance graphic artist and painter and took part in various exhibitions (Kromsdorf Castle, Bad Sulza Town Hall). 1996–1997 collaboration for Curt Linda on his animation project Die kleine Zauberflöte . Since 2000 he has been creating animated films and music videos in his animation studio Harry Flosser Studios .
