Harry Leitch (born February 14, 1985 in Edinburgh ) is a Scottish squash player and stem cell researcher .

Career

Harry Leitch participated with the Scottish national team in the years 2005 , 2007 and 2011 in the world championships as well as in several European championships . In 2005 he was in the main field of the European Championship, where he did not get beyond the first round. At the side of John White he reached the quarterfinals of the 2006 World Championships in doubles.

Leitch was part of the Scottish squad at the Commonwealth Games three times . In 2006 he was eliminated again with John White in the quarterfinals of the doubles competition, in the singles he reached the second round. He achieved the same results in 2010 in singles and reached the quarterfinals in mixed, while in doubles with Alan Clyne he just missed a medal win after a semi-final defeat and another defeat in the bronze game. Four years later he only appeared in doubles and was fourth again with Alan Clyne. He played over 60 games for the Scottish national team.

Leitch graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in natural sciences in 2007 . He then acquired an MB / PhD in a dual course of study and received a research scholarship at Wolfson College . At the same time he taught at Fitzwilliam College . He is now doing research at the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences and teaching at Imperial College London .
