Hartmut Grote
Hartmut Grote (born February 19, 1967 in Hemer ) is a German physicist who researches gravitational physics .
Grote studied at the University of Hanover , where he received his Dr. rer. nat. received his doctorate. Since 1999 he has been working at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Hanover, since 2009 as the scientific director of the GEO600 gravitational wave detector . Research stays led him to other gravitational wave detectors, such as the TAMA 300 in Mitaka ( Japan ) and the LIGO in Livingston ( Louisiana ).
He has been a professor at Cardiff University since 2018 .
