Hartwig von Wersebe

Hartwig von Wersebe (born May 16, 1879 in Hanover , † October 30, 1968 in Munich ) was a German concert singer and singing teacher .

Life

Wersebe's parents were the go-to. Councilor Carl von Wersebe (1835–1916) and his wife Theodora geb. Mylius (1845-1915). He attended the Kaiser Wilhelm and Ratsgymnasium in Hanover . After high school he studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg Law . In 1901 he was reciprocated in the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . When he was inactive , he moved to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Georg August University in Göttingen . After passing the trainee exam, he turned to singing . From 1903 to 1907 he studied with Rudolf Moest in Hanover, then with Heinrich Gudehus in Dresden and 1908/09 in Geneva. In 1907/08 he was engaged as an opera singer at the Mainz City Theater. From 1911 to 1918 he was a concert singer in Munich. After taking part in World War I from 1916 to 1918 , he was a singing teacher in Munich from 1919. There he was involved in the German Tonkünstlerverband . He died in Munich at the age of 89 and was buried in the Meyenburg cemetery (Osterstade) . In the north of Bremen, the headquarters of Wersebe are still there today .
