Hasenchartbreaker is the second music album by the band Knorkator after The Schlechtst of Knorkator .
History of origin
It was produced in 1999 by Alf Ator and Strossner Sound Systems . The name of the album was created as an artificial word from harelip and chart breaker by Alf Ator.
Knorkator competed in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 with the song Ick who zu Schwein , which was decoupled as a single and only just missed 3rd place. This song was originally only available as a separate single. For commercial reasons, the song was added to the album. The tracks A , Weihnachtsschimpfe and Weg nach unten were also included on the band's earlier records. Hasenchartbreaker also contains cover versions of the Beatles ( With a Little Help from My Friends ), AC / DC ( Highway to Hell ) and the Puhdys ( Go to her ). AC / DC's Highway to Hell was implemented with opera singing .

Music style and lyrics
As on the debut album, the group plays a style of music that is strongly reminiscent of Oomph! and Rammstein is ajar. The second work also features elements from techno and classical music . The singing oscillates between the hard, screaming singing style of the New German Hardness , clear singing and falsetto . There is also two-part singing.
The texts are humorous again and contain mostly faecal humor, so reports I am a very special man of a person who can eat with his asshole . Panties deal with the problems one has when there are no fresh underpants in the closet.
reception
After the German preliminary decision for the Song Contest 2000, it was clear to TV-total presenter Stefan Raab that Knorkator had to be invited. He gave them the “Golden Honor Raab” on his TV show. Raab also contradicted the claim that the picture circulated after the performance that Knorkator were bully and scandal rockers . The Bild (newspaper) wrote, “Who let these madmen on TV?” You saw four men in white plush clothes jumping around wildly and while other interpreters stood rigid, Knorkator hacked her piano with a plush ax.
The critic Daniel Straub from the online magazine Laut.de awarded four out of five possible points and sums it up in his review: “An absolute tip for people with funny humor and enjoyment of the absurd.” He particularly praises the band's musical abilities: “Amazing range of their ability, which is by no means exhausted in fat guitars and roaring vocals.
