Love-hate was a German rock band from Donauwörth that existed between 2005 and 2016 .

history

The band was founded in 2005 by singer and bassist Daniel Frisch, drummer Manuel Schnell and guitarist Manuel Gläser in Harburg (Donau-Ries district). By 2007 the band gave more than 50 concerts and released their first EP, of which 2000 pieces were sold. Later on, drummer Klaus Müller replaced founding member Manuel Schnell, who was unable to attend due to private reasons. In 2010 Klaus Müller was replaced as drummer by Florian Schack.

In the same year the band won the "RT1 Nordschwaben Top Act Festival" and the band competition at the cultural spectacle in Gauting near Munich. The former was hosted by Hit Radio RT 1. A short time later, manager Christian Wirth became aware of the band. At the beginning of 2008 they agreed to meet Jon Caffery , who had successfully produced among other bands such as Die Toten Hosen and Einstürzende Neubauten . Caffery said to produce the debut album for love-hate speech. In the same year, her single was released, Why . The song was played on 40 radio stations and is a very dynamic rock song, although the lyrics were received very critically. This is about child murder. Due to the success in a band competition in which 146 bands from all over Germany took part, the band played at a concert on August 15, 2008 with Die Toten Hosen. The song My Last Will was later released as a radio single. The band signed their record deal with südpolrecords in 2009 . In 2010 the band released their debut album No Man's Land . In October 2011 the band announced that singer and bassist Daniel Frisch had left the band.

The heads of the band finally decided in favor of Matthias "Matt" Münch as front man and Kurt's long-time friend - Dany Mcauley on bass. The quintet made their debut in the legendary "rock music" in Hamlar on March 31, 2012. The "new" CD will also be released in October 2012.

In April 2016, the band Hassliebe announced their breakup.

Texts

The topics that the band takes up in their songs are about love , hate , personal fears and wishes , whereby the band neither wants to point out nor accuse these topics. The band thematizes the world as it is perceived by the band. The lyrics are sung in German, with the band also singing Bavarian lyrics at concerts.

media

The band has already appeared on Munich TV , Ali Khan TV and Bayerischer Rundfunk . The band also received positive reviews in Guitar Magazine, C-Cube , Rockster TV, Metalmagazin and from the organizers of the Theatron MusikSommers . They described the band as cool, solid and called the group a highlight. Rockster TV even assumes that the band has what it takes to establish itself in the German rock scene.
