The Hastberger Mühle , also called Luckhauser Mühle or Gerds Mühle (after the owner Otto Gerd from 1930), is a former watermill on the Marscheider Bach and a district in the Wuppertal residential district of Herbringhausen in the Langerfeld-Beyenburg district .

The Hastberger mill is located at 277  m above sea level. NHN in the southeast of Wuppertal near the courts of Luckhausen (zu Remscheid- Lüttringhausen ), Hastberg , Wefelpütt and Herbringhausen . The Luckhauser Kotten is also nearby .

history

The Hastberg mill was probably built around 1855, but it is not yet recorded in the original cadastre from 1826. On May 30, 1855, Arnold David Müller, who was also one of the owners of the neighboring Luckhauser Kotten, received the concession to operate a fruit mill and a bone pounder . In 1888 the mill was owned by Otto Gerdt, who also ran a bakery there . In 1930 the mill was owned by the son Otto Gerdt jun. converted into an inn that is still managed today.
