Hateclub was a German hardcore punk band founded in 2001 . In autumn 2008 she announced her dissolution. In April 2017 it was announced that they would play together again for a one-off appearance at Primsrock Open Air 2017.

Band history

Hateclub was founded in 2001 by Ozzy ( vocals ), Otti ( drums ), Schirra ( guitar ) and Hans ( bass ). In 2002 a first demo with six songs was released. In 2003 the debut album Lies or Truth was released via Fond of Life Records . The band played as support for Murphy's Law , Misconduct , Dirty Rotten Imbeciles and Backfire , among others . In 2006 the album Last Pain Is Pleasure was released via Martial Music. A video for the song Goodbye was added to the 30-minute album . In 2007 the last album Of Men and Humanity followed . This contained a Ryker’s cover version called Truth . The album was recorded in the Liquid Aether Studios, which also took over the publication, in Euskirchen and mastered by the American music producer Alain Douches . In autumn 2008 the band announced their breakup.

Singer Ozzy and bassist Strieme co-founded the band Dislocate in 2009 .

style

The band plays fast old-school hardcore in the style of New York Hardcore from Agnostic Front , Sick of It All , Blood for Blood , SFA and Yuppicide, among others . Older songs rarely reach the two-minute mark. The texts are kept simple and deal with socially critical, but also personal topics. Among other things, they deal with racism and a lack of prospects. As usual in NYHC, simple values such as loyalty and friendship are held up as the answer to social questions.
