The Hauerseehütte , located at an altitude of 2383  m above sea level. A. , is a self-catering hut in the Ötztal Alps , in the Austrian state of Tyrol , which belongs to the Ludwigsburg section of the German Alpine Club . The hut was built between 1964 and 1969 instead of the former Hauerseehütte, which was destroyed by an avalanche in 1947 and which had previously been opened on August 11, 1929. The Hauerseehütte is a necessary base on the middle violin ridge .

The cottage season starts from the fourth week in June and ends on the last weekend in September. During this time the hut is open and supervised all the time. The hut is not supervised in the off-season. In winter, the Hauerseehütte is closed from mid-October to the end of May due to the risk of avalanches.

The hut equipment consists of 15 mattress beds and some emergency beds; two gas hobs and a wood stove are available.
