Cutlass
A machete is a knife , the long blade from the handle to place widens out. This increases the kinetic energy when striking. It serves as a working knife, for example, for working wood or for paving the way in tropical forest areas . Due to European influence , this knife shape spread to the rainforest areas of the world, e.g. B. Parang in Malaysia , machete in Africa or machete in Latin America . When used as a cutting weapon , they cause blow injuries . As a military weapon used British special forces in the Second World War the machete Smatchet . The Gurkhas still use the traditional khukuri . At the beginning of the 1990s, cutlery knives were in demand again in the western world and various manufacturers added them to their ranges as collector knives and utility knives.
