architecture

The house was built in 1670 for the butcher Hans Jacob Siegler, who also owned the house "A la Charrue". In later times the windows on the ground floor were enlarged and the narrow Renaissance entrance was widened. The right-hand windows of the street-side gable were removed so that today there are only two windows on each half-timbered floor. The attic has a balcony on this gable over the entire width of the house. St. Andrew's crosses and man figures can be seen as decorative forms on the facade . The corner posts and the bay windows are richly carved. A mercenary with a lance is shown in relief on the corner post on the first floor .
