At 2015 meters, the Hauser Kaibling is the highest mountain in the Schladming 4-mountain ski area. The market town of Haus im Ennstal is located at the foot of the mountain, which lies between the Planai and the Galsterbergalm .

The Hauser Kaibling has:

At the Alpine World Ski Championships in 1982 , downhill , slalom and combination women took place on the Hauser Kaibling.
Transmitter
On the Hauser Kaibling, at an altitude of 1858 meters above sea level, there is a 70 meter high transmission tower of the Österreichischen Rundfunksender GmbH for VHF and TV made of reinforced concrete.
