Havekost is a district of the community of Ganderkesee in the Lower Saxony district of Oldenburg . This also includes the individual farms in Sethe , Meierhafe and Strudthafe .

Geography and transport links

The district is about 5 km south of Ganderkesee. In a forest south of the street Am Schulplacken is 45 m above sea level. NN the highest point in the municipality of Ganderkesee, marked with a stone.

Over the adjacent national highway 213 , formerly the Flemish street , the neighboring cities Delmenhorst and Wildeshausen within easy reach, as are the motorways A1 and A28 .

history

Havekost still belonged to Hengsterholz in 1647 and was first mentioned in 1659 as Havkost in the Ganderkese church register. In the 16./17. In the 19th century, large areas of heather stretched northwest to Immer , which were used as sheep pastures. In 1725 the place had 80 inhabitants.
