The Raytheon Hawker 800 is a twin-engine, mid-range business jet . It is a low-wing aircraft with retractable landing gear and a pressurized cabin .
development
The development was originally carried out at Hawker Siddeley in the 1960s . The machine was named Hawker Siddeley HS.125 . After the founding of British Aerospace , the machine continued to be produced as the BAe 125. In 1993 Raytheon took over British Aerospace Corporate Jets. The new company Raytheon Aircraft (now Beechcraft Cooperation ) sold the aircraft as the Hawker 800 and developed it further.
In March 2006, the Hawker 850XP received its approval with improved avionics , modified interior fittings and new winglets .
In 2012 Hawker Beechcraft had to file for bankruptcy, but was able to resume business in early 2013 as the greatly reduced Beechcraft Corporation. The company is now focusing on the turboprop models and is discontinuing production of the jets. For the Hawker 800XP, however, an update program to the Hawker 800XPR version is offered, which is upgraded with more economical Honeywell TFE 731-50R engines and winglets .
