Justification of the coat of arms: The coat of arms corresponds to a court seal from 1721, handed down from 1733 (LA Speyer, E4 No. 883 fol. 2). In it, the stars are signs of jurisdiction, the crossed sticks, on the other hand, are to be interpreted as shepherds' wands and indicate St. Wendelin, the patron saint of the parish church in Hatzenbühl, to whom the church in Hayna was assigned as a branch when it was built in 1719. |
