Heath Davidson (born May 9, 1987 ) is an Australian wheelchair tennis player .
Career
Davidson has had transverse myelitis since birth , which has resulted in paraplegia . He started wheelchair tennis at the age of 14, but took a break from sport in 2005.
In November 2015, he made his comeback in the quadriplegic class . He won the World Team Cup with the Australian national team in May 2016 . It was the first title for Australia in this class. Only a few months later he managed to win the gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the doubles competition on the side of Dylan Alcott . In 2018 he won the doubles competition at the Australian Open with Dylan Alcott .
In the world rankings in singles, he achieved his best placement on August 7, 2017 with fifth place. In doubles, third place on March 13, 2017 was his highest nomination.
