Hechenberg (Dietramszell)

Hechenberg is a district of Dietramszell in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen .

The settlement of Hechenberg has existed since the Middle Ages, the traces of the tower hill ( tower hill Hechenberg ) and the former moated castle of the Lords of Hechenberg can still be recognized as a ground monument. The castle was first mentioned in 1033 and 1045 but was demolished in the 19th century.

When the municipality of Kirchbichl , to which Hechenberg belonged, lost its independence in the course of the regional reform on May 1, 1978, Hechenberg came to Dietramszell.

Architectural monuments

  • Parish Church “St. Valentin ”, late Gothic, choir and tower date from the first half of the 15th century, modernized in 1732. Also: picturesque cemetery wall made of tuff stone , 17th / 18th centuries century
  • Former Hechenberg Castle , 1594, reworked in the Baroque era
  • Rectory with a flat hip roof, 1832
  • Former farmhouse ("Kirchbauer") with a log building upper floor, 1760–80
