Thalham is a district of the Dietramszell municipality in Upper Bavaria .

geography

The village is located in the Bavarian Oberland region in the midst of the pre-Alpine moraine landscape about five kilometers northeast of Dietramszell and five kilometers west of Holzkirchen (Upper Bavaria) .

history

Thalham was first mentioned in a document in 1102 in a tradition book of the Dietramszell monastery as "Taleheim".

Infrastructure and sights

Located away from the traffic routes from Munich to Bad Tölz and from Wolfratshausen to Holzkirchen , the village was largely able to retain its rural character.

More recently, a household waste dump that has now been closed has been operated in the Thalham district. Only excavated earth may be deposited in the current gravel pit.

The Catholic hamlet chapel from the second half of the 17th century is well worth seeing. Architectural monuments are still the farmhouses built in the 17th and 18th centuries with a log upper storey at house numbers 1 and 5.
