Hechenberg Castle
Hechenberg Castle is a former castle in Hechenberg in the Dietramszell municipality . It is a listed building (number D-1-73-118-82)
history
The settlement of Hechenberg has existed since the Middle Ages, the traces of the tower hill ( tower hill Hechenberg ) and the former moated castle of the Lords of Hechenberg can still be recognized as a ground monument. The castle was first mentioned in 1033 and 1045 but was demolished in the 19th century. Hechenberg Castle was built in 1594 and later redesigned in Baroque style.
