Ascholding Castle
Ascholding Castle is a castle in Ascholding in the Dietramszell municipality in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district .
history
The castle is essentially medieval and was first mentioned in 1170. It was once surrounded by a moat. It was rebuilt in 1580 by Andreas Ligsalz and expanded again in 1811 by Baron von Maderny. It is still privately owned today.
description
The castle is a two-storey, angular two-wing building with a half-hip, pitched roof, ridge turrets and chapel.
