The Heibeeksköpfe are a maximum of 465.2 m above sea level. NHN high, two-capped mountain of the Harz low mountain range . They are located near Bad Lauterberg in the non-parish Harz region of the Göttingen district in Lower Saxony . Its two peaks are called Großer ( 465.2 m ) and Kleiner Heibeekskopf ( 440.1 m ).
Geographical location
The Heibeeksköpfe rise in the southern Harz in the Harz Nature Park about 1.5 km (as the crow flies ) north-northwest of the Bad Lauterberg train station . They separate the Lutter tributary Heibeek , after which they were named, in the west and south from the Lutter in the east. Its two peaks are about 460 m apart in a north-south direction. The eye spring, which drains towards the Lutter , lies on their common eastern flank .

Almost 800 m north-west of the Großer Heibeekskopf and thus in the direction of the Scheffeltalsköpfe lies the Knollenkreuz forest path crossing (approx. 480 m above sea level ; ⊙ ), which is included as no. 152 in the system of stamping points of the Harz hiking needle ; the stamp box is located directly next to the city shelter Hentschel fetlock . The intersection is on the hiking trail from Bad Lauterberg to the Großer Knollen .
