Heidi Müller

Heidi Müller (* around 1946) is a German table tennis player with success in the 1960s and 1970s. She took part in a world championship.

Youth and adults

Müller started her career at the TSV Neustadt / Aisch club. She later moved to TSV Milbertshofen , only to return to Neustadt in 1964. In 1964 she became Bavarian junior champion in doubles with Brigitte Reiter. After a stopover at MTV Munich from 1966, she joined the SV Weißblau-Allianz München in 1970 .

In the adult division she won several gold medals at the Bavarian Championships :

  • 1968: Singles, doubles with Karla Schenk, mixed with Martin Ness
  • 1969: double with chef
  • 1971: singles, doubles with chef
  • 1972: double with chef
  • 1975: Doubles with Henny Knogl
  • 1976: singles, doubles with Hana Slama

In 1971 she also won the southern German championship in singles. At the national German championships she reached the double semifinals with Sieglinde Prell in 1969 .

In 1969 Müller was nominated for the individual competitions at the World Cup in Munich. Here she could not qualify for the main round in singles or doubles with Christel Kaib . The doubles lost in the qualifying round to Mary van Ruiten / Mieke ten Broek (Netherlands). In the singles she lost to the GDR player Gabriele Geißler , the mixed with Karl-Heinz Scholl first defeated the Hungarians István Jónyer / Beatrix Kisházi . then dropped out against Uldis Eglitis / Doris Hovestädt (USSR / GDR).

In the mid-1970s she played for the Bundesliga club VSC Donauwörth .

Seniors

In the 1980s, Müller competed in senior tournaments. In 1986 she was third in the individual at the German senior championships in the over 40 age group. A year later she reached the final in singles and doubles with Renate Millic. She also won 6 titles in singles, 3 in doubles and 4 in mixed at the Bavarian Senior Championships.

Private

In August 1970 Heidi Müller married the table tennis player Hans Müller ( SV Weißblau-Allianz München ).
