Heidrun Schellschmidt

Heidrun Schellschmidt (born May 11, 1959 in Lauchhammer-Ost ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Schellschmidt trained as a ceramic decorator from 1975 to 1977 before studying sintering technology at the engineering school for electrical engineering and ceramics in Hermsdorf in Thuringia until 1980 . She then worked as a technologist from 1980 to 1988 and then as a materials manager until 1992. In 1992 she retrained to become an industrial specialist.

In Plessa she was a member of the municipal council from 1992 to 1993 and chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group . From 1993 to 2005 she was a member of the district council of the Elbe-Elster district , where she was at times deputy leader of the SPD parliamentary group.

In the state elections in Brandenburg in 1994 she was elected to the Brandenburg state parliament as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 36 (Elbe-Elster II) and was initially a member of the state parliament from October 11, 1994 to September 29, 1999. During this time she was a member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry and the Committee on Petitions , from November 1998 she was its chairman.

In the state elections in 1999 , she did not manage to be re-elected; in her constituency she was defeated by Frank Werner from the CDU .

Schellschmidt then worked from 1999 to 2003 as an administrative clerk at the property and property office in Cottbus .

On March 20, 2003, she became a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament again when she replaced Joachim Kolbe, a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament, who had recently died . She was again a member of the Petitions Committee and the Committee on Budget and Finance until she left the state parliament at the end of the legislative period on October 13, 2004.

Schellschmidt is married and has two children.
