Heike Schulte-Mattler

Heike Schulte-Mattler , b. Schmidt (born May 27, 1958 in Oberhausen ) is a former German athlete who won the bronze medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles (in 3: 22.98 min, together with Ute Thimm , Heidi-Elke Gaugel and Gaby Bußmann ; Heike Schulte-Mattler was the first runner).

She also started in the 400-meter run at these Olympic Games and was eliminated in the preliminary run.

In 1982 she came at the European Championships in Athens with the 4 x 400 meter relay in fourth place (3: 25.71 min), in the 200-meter run she was eliminated in the preliminary run.

Heike Schulte-Mattler belonged to TV Voerde . She won her only German championship title in 1982 in Ulm over 200 meters. In her active days she was 1.70 m tall and weighed 54 kg.
