Heidi-Elke Hudak , née Heidi-Elke Gaugel , (born July 11, 1959 in Schönaich ) is a former German athlete and Olympic participant .

Sporting successes

Heidi-Elke Gaugel won the bronze medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles (3: 22.98 min, together with Heike Schulte-Mattler , Ute Thimm and Gaby Bußmann ; Heidi-Elke Gaugel as the third runner). She also started at these Olympic Games in the 100 and 200-meter run and in the 4 x 100 meter relay , but without medal rank.

She achieved another medal success at the 1986 European Championships : With the 4 x 400 meter relay, she won the silver medal (3: 22.80 min, together with Gisela Kinzel , Ute Thimm and Gaby Bußmann ; Heidi-Elke Gaugel came third Runner). In the 100-meter run, she came eighth.

At the European Championships in 1982 she was sixth in the 100-meter run and fifth in the 200-meter run.

Their best performances date from 1985 and stand at 11.15 s (100 meters) and 22.56 s (200 meters).

Heidi-Elke Gaugel was a member of VfL Sindelfingen . In her active days she was 1.67 m tall and weighed 54 kg. She married the middle-distance runner Harald Hudak .
