Heikki Korpela (born September 4, 1990 ) is a Finnish cross-country skier .

Career

Korpela, who starts for the Pyhäjärven Pohti, ran his first race in the Scandinavian Cup in Keuruu in January 2009 and finished in 73rd place in the sprint. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2009 in Praz de Lys Sommand, he achieved 58th place in the skiathlon and seventh place in the relay. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he won the bronze medal in sprint and relay at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Lago di Tesero . In February 2014 he reached his first and so far only top ten place in the Scandinavian Cup with eighth place in the sprint in Madona . The following month he made his debut in Lahti in the cross-country skiing world cup and came 59th in the sprint. He got his first World Cup points in February 2017 in Otepää with 29th place in the sprint.
