Heiko Grimm (born November 18, 1977 in Miltenberg ) is a former German handball player and today's coach. His regular position in the club was the playmaker position in the middle of the backcourt , but also played on the left wing , for example when he played in the DHB team .
Grimm began his career at TV Kirchzell . Until January 2005 he played for TV Großwallstadt , with whom he won the EHF City Cup in 2000 , then for half a year for SG Wallau / Massenheim . In summer 2005 he switched back to TV Großwallstadt. In January 2008 he went to HSV Hamburg . With the Swiss association ZMC Amicitia Zurich he had a three-year contract effective from summer 2009; However, he switched to Pfadi Winterthur in December 2010 . For the 2013/14 season, Grimm ended his career and took over the coaching position at the Swiss first division club HC Kriens-Luzern . In April 2015, Grimm was reactivated by German Bundesliga club MT Melsungen , where he helped out until the end of the 2014/15 season. At the end of 2017, Grimm ended his activity at HC Kriens-Luzern and took over the position of assistant coach at MT Melsungen in January 2018. From April 2018 to February 2020 he trained MT Melsungen.
In the German national team , with which he won the 2003 runner-up and the 2004 European championship , Grimm had 48 games and 66 goals.
In addition to his career as a handball coach, Grimm is studying business administration and works as a tax clerk .
