The gymnastics club in 1908 Kirchzell eV is a handball club from the Odenwald situated Lower Franconian town Kirchzell .

Handball

Although the site in the state of Bavaria is, the association is assigned to the Handball county Odenwald-Spessart, alluding to the southwest German regional association counted Hessian Handball Federation . The TVK is thus the only Bavarian regional league that does not play in the Regionalliga Süd, but in the Regionalliga Südwest, as the regional leagues have again been strictly divided according to association limits since 2005.

The TVK games take place in neighboring Amorbach in the Parzival sports hall at Friedensweg 1 (1200 seats). TV Kirchzell is known nationwide primarily for its youth work. The intensive youth work has already resulted in a German championship in the B youth and two German runner-up championships in the A youth. With almost 3,000 spectators at an A youth game, the TVK was able to present a record-breaking audience for a youth handball game in 2004.

The first men's team of the TV Kirchzell played in the 2006/2007 season in the 2nd handball Bundesliga , but rose again as the table penultimate in the regional league, where they played until 2010. In the 2010/11 season you will compete in the newly founded 3rd division . In 2017 Kirchzell was relegated to the league.
